Dr. Venn Peterson

It wasn’t until he took a class on medicine in high school that he discovered a genuine interest in the field. After hearing dentists talk about their profession and day-to-day work, he decided it would be the right career.

He completed a two-year church mission to Norway before attending Brigham Young University, graduating cum laude in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in botany and pre-dental studies. In 2000, he earned his dental degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. After moving to Utah, he started practicing and gained valuable experience.

In 2001, he returned to purchase the dental office of Dr. Philip B. Cramer in Lacey, which is now Peterson & Cammack Family & Cosmetic Dentistry.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Peterson with his wife, Cathy, and their four children: Drake, Natalie, Jill, and Melissa. He also enjoys being outdoors, watching sports, playing guitar and singing, and he’s involved with his church.

Dr. Spenser Cammack

Dr. Spenser Cammack ensures all patients remain comfortable in the treatment chair. As a dentist near Tumwater, he enjoys building relationships and delivering a personable approach when meeting new and existing patients.

Choosing this career path, though, wasn’t what he originally intended. Although his mother wanted him to work in healthcare, it wasn’t until he started reviewing his options that he grew passionate about the field.

After graduating from high school in Phoenix, AZ, he attended Brigham Young University for one year before serving on a church mission to Nicaragua. After his return to BYU, he completed his bachelor’s degree before enrolling at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. While there, he participated in various community outreach programs and was part of the OHIO Project, which offered assistance to those in underprivileged areas.

When he’s not busy transforming his patients’ smiles, you’ll find him with his wife, Nadia, and their four children: Thomas, Olivia, Zach, and Samuel. They enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family, and he likes running and other sports, like baseball and soccer. He’s also involved in his church and volunteers at the Union Gospel Mission.

Dr. Benjamin Blackner

Growing up, he didn't like visiting the dentist’s office regularly; however, once he started working as a dental assistant, he discovered how much joy he found in the profession, especially when helping others. Believing he was uniquely qualified to help patients feel more comfortable in the treatment chair, he offers his expertise to ensure they feel safe and at ease.

Dr. Blackner’s educational background began at Brigham Young University, where he earned his undergraduate degree and a license in dental assisting. He then worked as a dental assistant for many years before attending Creighton University School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

What Dr. Blackner enjoys most outside the office is his passion for his family and his ability to embrace countless outdoor activities. He’s also interested in sports and cheers on Seattle teams. You’ll also be surprised to know that he is an intramural volleyball and pickleball champion.
