Meet Our Lacey Dentists
Venn R. Peterson, DDS
Dr. Venn R. Peterson was born in Bellevue, WA. His family moved to Salt Lake City, UT when he was six years old, and he completed his primary education there. After a two-year church mission to Norway, he attended Brigham Young University and graduated cum laude in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in botany/pre-dental studies. In June of 2000, he graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where he earned an excellent education in all phases of dentistry. After graduation, he and his family moved to Utah so he could begin practicing dentistry. While there, he gained valuable experience in private practice. In May of 2001, he returned to the Pacific Northwest and purchased the dental practice of Dr. Philip B. Cramer, who had been practicing in Lacey since 1983.
While Dr. Peterson is fascinated by the clinical aspects of dentistry and is dedicated to continuing his education, his true passion lies in the relationships he forms with his patients. He is friendly, compassionate, and driven to make every patient's comfort his highest priority. He genuinely cares about the individuals he is privileged to treat, and he enjoys getting to know them and their families as much as he enjoys creating and maintaining healthy, beautiful smiles. Dr. Peterson is a member of the Thurston/Mason County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
His greatest joy in life comes from spending time with his wife, Cathy, and their four children: Drake, Natalie, Jill, and Melissa. Dr. Peterson enjoys singing, playing the guitar, watching sports, and spending time outdoors. He is very involved with his church and volunteers his time to treat patients from the Union Gospel Mission in downtown Olympia. Dr. Peterson looks forward to welcoming you as part of our dental family.
Spenser Cammack, DDS
Dr. Cammack grew up in Phoenix, Arizona; after graduating from high school, he attended Brigham Young University. Once he completed his first year of study, he then took two years to serve on a church mission to Nicaragua. Upon returning to Brigham Young University, he received his B.S in exercise science. Dr. Cammack then completed his dental education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. During his time at Ohio State, Dr. Cammack was actively involved in community outreach programs and worked as part of the OHIO Project, which benefited those in under-served areas of the state. Dr. Cammack also spent two years as an officer in the school branch of the Hispanic Dental Association, where dental students and university staff ran a free volunteer clinic for the underserved Hispanic population in the Columbus region.
Dr. Cammack moved to the Olympia area in 2006 and joined Dr. Peterson in 2008. Dr. Cammack enjoys learning about the changing dental field, and has completed numerous continuing education courses. He is currently a member of the Olympia Study Club and the Olympia Chapter of the Spear Study Club. Dr. Cammack is also a member of the Thurston/Mason Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
While dentistry is important to him, what Dr. Cammack loves most is time with his family. He married his wife Nadia in 2000, and together, they have four children: Thomas, Olivia, Zach, and Samuel. As a family, they are passionate about traveling to new areas of the Pacific Northwest, as well as visiting friends and family in Arizona and England. Dr. Cammack is an avid runner and also enjoys most sports, especially baseball and soccer. He is actively involved with his church and often finds himself being coaxed into coaching his children’s teams for at least two to three seasons of one sport or another each year. Dr. Cammack also enjoys volunteering his time to treat patients from the Union Gospel Mission and looks forward to getting to know you.
