Dental Hygienists
Brittany, Dental Hygienist
Brittany has over 13
years of experience in the dental field. She has greatly enjoyed building meaningful relationships with each of
her patients, so they all feel welcome and right at home in the office. She studied dental hygiene at the Pima
Medical Institute. As the child of a military family, Brittany grew up all over, and has enjoyed making our
community her new home. In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. A
self-proclaimed “foodie,” Brittany also enjoys trying new recipes and restaurants.
Michelle, Dental Hygienist
Originally from Sheridan,
Wyoming, Michelle has advanced training in ABCD Pediatric Certification, basic tobacco intervention skills
certification, expanded functions dental auxiliary, DECODE (for special populations), Velscope oral cancer
screenings, and CPR certification. As an army veteran of 7 years, Michelle completed two tours in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Now, she enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, rock climbing, hiking, or doing basically doing
anything outside in the sunshine. She has a daughter, 3 cats, and a dog.
Susie, Dental Hygienist
Although new to our practice,
Susie has already enjoyed building relationships with our patients and helping them maintain and improve their
oral health. She brings 4 years of prior experience with her, 3 of which were working with children and special
needs patients, along with advanced training in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. When she’s
not in the office, you can find her hiking, kayaking, shooting outdoors, fishing, gong on food adventures, an
spend time with family.
Fun fact about Susie: Although she thinks she’s horrible at it, she enjoys karaoke!
Kylie, Dental Hygienist
Kylie has been working in
dentistry for a handful of years so far and loves being able to make a positive difference in patients’
lives. She studied at both Baylor University and Olympic College before completing her dental education at
Pierce College. She is an EFDA with training in BLS, VELscope oral cancer screenings, and dentistry involving
babies and children. Originally from Garland, she has a cat named Loki at home and comes from a family with LOTS
of girls, including five sisters. In her spare time, she enjoys doing outdoors activities like kayaking, hiking,
and camping. She also regularly travels and hangs out with friends.
Dental Assistants/EFDA’s
Dawne, EFDA
Dawne moved to Lacey in 1995
following her husband’s military service, and she has been a part of our team since 2001. Since becoming a
certified dental assistant in 1994, she has garnered over 23 years of experience in dentistry. In September
2010, she completed her Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary training at South Puget Sound Community College. She
works hard to ensure that patients receive the very best care. When she’s not at the office, Dawne enjoys
spending time with her family. She is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren. Her hobbies include
bowling, golfing, hiking, and painting.
Fun Fact about Dawne: She loves painting, but admits she cannot draw.
Kelley, Registered Dental Assistant
Kelley joined our team
in April of 2018 bringing with her three decades of experience in the field of dentistry. She loves having the
opportunity to get to know her patients and help them with their dental needs. Kelley earned a two year
certification in health occupations at Anderson Career and Technology Center, and she has also studied at
Greenville Technical College. She maintains HIPPA and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Administration
certification. She is also certified in CPR and has completed an advanced tooth whitening course. Originally
from West Pelzer, South Carolina, Kelley is married to Owen, and the couple has a cat named Gibbs. They have
lived in Olympia since 2001. Kelley loves crocheting and she taught herself to crochet to make warm clothing and
blankets to those in need. She also enjoys fishing, clam digging and belly dancing.
Shelby, Registered Dental Assistant
Brand new to our office
and the dental field in 2018, Shelby looks forward to a long career built on relationships with her patients and
coworkers. Shelby studied at Centralia Community College and Clover Park Technical College. She is a certified
dental assistant. Originally from Tumwater, Shelby is engaged to be married, and she enjoys spending her spare
time skiing, hiking, and backpacking. She also enjoys dancing and has six years of ballet experience.
Amy, Registered Dental Assistant
After graduating from the Lake
Washington Technical Institute of Technology, Amy gained 7 years of experience before joining us at our
practice. She especially enjoys helping patients feel at ease and comfortable in the dentist’s chair. As a
mom of four children, Amy spends a lot of time with her family and friends. Her hometown is Salmon Arm, British
Columbia in Canada, and she enjoys growing orchids, doing yardwork, organizing, and trying new things.
Celeste, Sterile Technician/Dental Assistant
Celeste attended both
Southern Utah University and Savannah Technical College before completing her dental education at Olympia Dental
Assisting. Her favorite part of this position is being able to interact so closely with patients and seeing
their happiness at their new-and-improved smiles! Originally from Cedar City, her husband is currently serving
in the army. They have one dog at home and are expecting a baby girl in February. In her free time, she enjoys
playing piano and doing various crafts.
Administration
Shelly, Insurance Coordinator
Shelly has been a part of
our team for four years. As our treatment coordinator, she enjoys providing our patients with a comfortable
treatment experience. She previously studied at Clover Park Technical College and has experience with both
dental assisting and administrative work. She and her husband have been married for 27 years, and together they
have one son, one daughter, and two grandsons. When she’s not helping patients coordinate their treatment,
Shelly enjoys trips to the ocean, camping with family, and music.
Fun Fact about Shelly: She enjoys writing poetry.
Lanette, Accounts Receivable
Originally born in
South Dakota, Lanette moved to Washington as a toddler. She received her dental assistant training from Puget
Sound Institute of Technology and started working as an assistant in 1983, eventually transitioning to the front
office in 2002. She joined our practice in September of 2015 and is very happy to be part of a team that’s
made up of fun professionals who are passionate about providing quality dentistry! She has one grown son and now
lives in Lacey with a long lost love from 30 years ago. Her hobbies include fishing, camping, target shooting,
and cooking.
Fun Fact about Lanette: She can say the alphabet backwards faster than most people can say it in order!
